Clinical Ethics: Deceased Donation, Wednesday 29/4/26
Deakin University’s School of Medicine is offering a one day training course focusing on
Clinical Ethics in Deceased Donation.
The course has been designed by Deakin Bioethics in collaboration with clinicians involved
in deceased donation of organs and tissues. Participants will explore the fundamental
principles guiding deceased donation as well as recent developments and debates in the
field. The focus will be on ethical issues relating to decision-making about deceased
donation and clinical interventions in the setting of deceased donation.
Providing a practical introduction to ethical decision-making, the course will facilitate
learning using interactive multidisciplinary case-based discussion.
