Clinical Ethics: Organ Transplantation, Tuesday 28/4/2026

Deakin University’s School of Medicine is offering a one day training course focusing on
Clinical Ethics in Organ Transplantation.
The course has been designed by Deakin Bioethics in collaboration with clinicians involved
in organ transplantation. Participants will explore the fundamental principles guiding organ
donation and transplantation as well as recent developments and debates in transplant
ethics. The focus will be on ethical issues relating to decision-making about living donation
and transplantation of organs from living and deceased donors.
Providing a practical introduction to ethical decision-making, the course will facilitate
learning using interactive multidisciplinary case-based discussion.
